you can auction it on major domain auction site like sedo.com
commission structure will depend on the website where u put it for sale

also dnforum.com is a good site, put its a paid one if u want to list your name there u will have to pay !, are you looking for all free sites ??

It's very unlikely to sell a newly registered domain for four figures.
Why don't you post it here so we can appraise it for you. Most
people think they will make much money with their domains, but
only few really do. I think, why should somebody pay $x,xxx to
you for a domain which he/she could have registered for $8 per
year?

It's a catchy and brandable domain, but I doubt it's worth more
than low $xxx as is. The domain would need some development
and marketing (branding) to experience an increase in value. So
it's actually worth about $100 when selling to and end user, in
my opinion. Reseller pricing should be low to mid $xx.

That's quite simple:
Development = Create a website under the domain name to get
it listed in search engines and to generate steady traffic.
Marketing = Buy online ads on other websites, search engines, etc.

Anyway, the question is: Do you want to spend time and money
for developing the domain? Well, the domain has got some potential,
but (as said before) only if it is developed. Otherwise it's only worth
up to $100.

Will i get much more than what is offered now after getting rated in the search engines and things like that?

You will get more as soon as the domain receives traffic, of course.
And do not sell the domain on eBay. Try selling it through a domain
marketplace like Afternic or Sedo, or by directly offering it to potential
buyers. I wish you success in developing and selling your domain!

I am sure there are many more qualified then me running around here but I have been buying and selling domains for a few years. IMHO I would take the $500 and run. Word of advice, if they ask you to pay for an apprasial...just say no.
