    Hi,

I'd suggest you to take a look in the offers forums on WHT and do a search of each and everyone of the hosts you have interest in. Then contact them and see if they answer your questions. Good luck

You may be able to get a host to reimburse you.
The only host I know that would do this would be site5, there may be others, and you may not be eligible, but try contacting sales ([email protected])

After five years of acceptable hosting with Super.nu I was caught with my pants down when all of my domains went dark. Talk about a major pain.

I started researching hosts, getting feedback and doing some background checking and finally settled on CirtexHosting. Response time of my web sites is not as fast as it was with Super.nu, but it is more than acceptable. Plus the offered features in the package I purchased and for the cost more than offset the minor drop in response time.

When you start researching host I would suggest adding them to your list to check out.

There are quite a few good hosts. Just look for uptime guarantees and you should be set!

    gaywaterford,

Do you have any specific features or budget in mind?
Just remember to thoroughly research any host you're considering.

The gunnel fiasco seemed unpreventable but try not to let it occur again: Research a lot more this time!

That would be a huge mistake. An uptime guarantee says nothing about the actual levels of uptime achived by the host.

Hmm... are you looking for shared hosting or for dedicated servers?

    gaywaterford,

I would say a shared account is sufficient for what you're attempting to do.

No need for any dedicateds getting involved at this point!

OK, you should go to the Dedicated server forum, since you are not looking for shared hosting at all..

    Lightbulb Hosting Solution

I was also a victim of Steve Gunnels. My sites went down today. I saw the writing on the wall about 2 or 3 weeks before it happenned. Managed to backup about 90% of my data. I consider myself lucky.

Today I signed up for web hosting with ivhosting.com. I chose their special which is a reseller plan. Lets you setup accounts with Cpanel and most (if not all) of the features I had at Super.nu. Plus, I get a lot more disk space and bandwidth. It's $99/year, so the price is even reasonable. I have a couple people hosting under me so, it'll probably end up being free with them paying the majority of the hosting fees.

Good luck to everyone who is dealing with this situation.

I have been very happy with LunarPages and Site5. Both have excellent service, reliability, and speed.
