bitching - offensive?
Is it offensive to refer to complaining as "bitching" anymore? I use it when referring to both men, and women, and i don't find it that offensive.

I think you are bound to piss people off when you tell them to "stop bitching". But if you tell them that no one wants to hear their complaining, it is taken a lot easier.

He's not bitching J-P. He's asking a question about bitching. Technically, you're the one bitching. (That's three)

I don't know - can't say I find it offensive. I'll tell some lady friends to stop bitching and get back to you!

Well, I would certainly not categorize it as being polite and respectful.
You will find different people will have different levels of tolerance. To be on the safe side, unless you are with your friends where this is accepted, I would not use it. Obviously, I would never use it in a place of business or a way to communicate with clients.0

These threads seem to get more pointless by the day, I wouldn't be offended, no.

Really depends on who you say it to, and your relationship with that person.

I think we all need to stop bitching about people bitching over J-Ps bitching while bitching about the bitching topic. Then maybe I can get back to work and stop bitching... hehe.
I don't think its offensive, if the person really is bitching. Most people who are bitching, are basically "whiners", "cry babies" etc...█ www.JGRoboMarketing.com / "Automate. Grow. Repeat"

If I tell someone to stop bitching I'm usually trying to offend them maybe just a little bit... So yes I suppose it is somewhat offensive.
