starting postfix problem

I am using Fedora Core 4. When I installed Fedora, I picked for the postfix mail server. when I try to run postfix i get this:

# postfix check
postfix: fatal: chdir(/var/spool/postfix): No such file or directory

# postfix start
postfix: fatal: chdir(/var/spool/postfix): No such file or directory

Why didn't fedora chreate the folder /var/spool/postfix ?

It looks like you need to create a /var/spool/postfix directory for some reason. On my FC3 machine it is:

Code:
$ ls -ld /var/spool/postfix
drwxr-xr-x  16 root root 4096 Jun 10 02:38 /var/spool/postfix
I would not think that it would have changed between FC3 and FC4.

postsuper and postlog are scripts that were not created for some reasion when Fedora 4 install Postfix. Any idea why Fedora is not creating these things?
