    FTP Default folder?

    Hey guys,

    Wondering if I can change the default folder my ftp server lists

    ie instead of /home/user

    I want it to open /home/user/public_html

    Im using pureFTP

    I read all their docs, but couldnt find it :/

    Can't you specify the directory when you create the ftp accounts. I think you
    should be able to do so..

    When you sign in to FTP it automatically takes you to the root directory.. there's no way to automatically bring you to public_html since it changes per account (IE, one site uses public_html, another uses httpdocs).

    Chances are, you'll have to live with the extra click.

    i never used pureftp.. do dnt know abt it..

    u use FlashFTP , and there is an option to give the remote path in it. so u can give 'public_html\' in remote path so that it will directly go to tat dir after loggin in.

    For clarity's sake, don't use "<ip address of hostname>" use the ACTUAL 32-bit numeric IP address of the machine.
