A song... see if we can leave politics outta this one

    Hello,
This was posted by a Mother at my site. I thought I would share it with you all. I think it is great to see the younger folks supporting the Military. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
(Again, lets try to leave polics outta this. If you like it, great. If not, no need for insults, etc... )

I've posted the info and link on another board I go to, one that has a number of soldiers from Ft. Bragg & Pope AFB who are in or have been in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, and their families as members. Hope it gets some attention from that too.

If lyrics aren't posted anywhere yet, it would be good to get them posted, that could be a good boost as well.

Their mother just responded. Here are the lyrics:

    "Last Letters, New Tears"
Written By Josh and Jordan Estrada
    2005

Patrolling through the streets of danger
You came across a man of anger
He threw down his deadly device
You sacrificed your life to save them

    Chorus:
    Last letters and new tears
You proudly fight against you fears
Your leaving behind you family and friends
Just so that our peace won't end

You made it back to your homeland
    To say your last goodbyes
Your loved one cryed at your bedside
Thinking of the times you share

    Chorus:
    Last letters and new tears
You proudly fight against you fears
Your leaving behind you family and friends
Just so that our peace won't end

With or without the medals you will always be my hero
Don't you walk thru my words
You got to show some respect
Don't you walk thru my words
'Cause you ain't heard me out yet

Thanks for posting the lyrics TalkMilitary. Of course, with them in front of me I can understand each and every word and now have no idea why I had a problem with a few of them earlier. lol

I'll post them in the thread I started on the other forum. I've taken the liberty of correcting a couple typos/misspellings though, hope you don't mind:

    Thumbs up

    Great News.
I contacted the Pentagon/Department of Defense after their Mom posted on my forum. They are now on a DOD site. Very cool stuff.
    Here is the link: http://www.dod.mil/americasupportsyo...ica/video.html
Scroll down to the section: "Up-and-Comers" They are listed there.

Way to go this is a great thing you did TalkMilitary. As well the song is a very good song, and the other songs on the dod.mil site are good as well.

Thanks. I liked the song... great stuff for their age. Was happy to try to do what I could.

Yes, there are some great songs on that site... I have been listening to some today.

The thing with those boys that REALLY touched me was the family history. Pretty amazing, IMHO.

    Most welcome for the link.

Here is another. I emailed the Pentagon about them, and they are now listed under "Up and Comers"
