What event will change the world as we know it?
Many people feel like we're on the brink of a catastrophe that would throw the world into chaos. If it happens sometime soon, of the above options, what do you think is the most likely culprit?

Obviously the first option is most likely.

I think the world's in a constant state of chaos. It's just degrees of chaos, in this complex and ever evolving moshpit we call society.
I do think we're in for more gob-smacking situations like Sep 11, where we sat glued to our TVs for a few days.• WLVPN.com • NetProtect owned White Label VPN provider •

Very simple, look at history. As recently as the early 1900's there were massive epidemics that killed millions of people. This *will* happen again. As for nukes, yeah, eventually someone will get one and detonate it but I don't think it will trigger global chaos.

Given enough time things like fuel shortage, global warming, and overpopulation will turn into escalating problems. But the biggest threat is that terrorists will do something so big that victims will stop trying to distinguish perpetrators from bystanders and go for guilt-by-association massive counterattack which will escalate from there.
