running lighttpd alongside apache
I'm trying to install lighttpd in addition to apache, for a few separate domains, and I need them both on port 80. I've got them both installed and working, but when they are running at the same time, apache keeps failing and crashing, and won't restart until lighttpd is killed.
Here is the config I have:
server.port = 80
server.bind = "0.0.0.2"
I should note that '0.0.0.1' is the main shared IP on my box, and '0.0.0.2' is a completely loose IP (except for being the secondary nameserver IP).
Everything works like that for a few minutes, and then Apache dies. Oh, I'm running a CentOS 3.5 CPanel box.
listen on other ports will help you. try this. then you will need use squid (for example) for serving incoming connection and ttransfering it's to different ports depend of domain name.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks.
