    Website hosting

I recently registered my domain with 1and1.com
After reading some post here I think I will be changing to another provider.
What I was looking for was an easy way to manage my ecom site,
without having to edit any html code.
I found netfirms.com and noticed that they have a really nice amazon
like site builder (which interests me a lot).
But again, after reading more posts here I had second thoughts.
Can anyone suggest a hosting provider that will have features similar to those
at netfirms.com and have better support.
I checked out wbpro.com, they have what i am looking for, but as a startup ecom site 40$ US is a little much.
I dont mind paying more if I get more ...

I do not recommend 1and1.com or netfirms.com for that.

Find a hosting company that offers osCommerce, i believe is the best e-commerce and cost effective.
Also make sure the hosting supports it, it means if for some reason the store breaks, you don't know how to do something etc. They will give you phone support.

The support is important because your site is your business, if its broken or not functional you are out of business. So make sure to look for a company that can be with you all the way.

The thing with OScommerce is the storefront is not as friendly as say, yours. wbpro has an amazon like storefront and very easy to navigate and order products.

Can anyone recommend an Oscommerce site for someone who is just starting up and ecomm site. I only have a few products to list for now, but it will be growing in the days, weeks, months to come.

The storefront from wbpro looks like OSCommerce to me....it may be ZenCart (based off of OSCommerce) but I'm not 100% sure.

You can change the default layout in both OSCommerce and ZenCart. ZenCart makes it a touch easier to manage though. You may want to look it up in your research as well.

The amazon like store is based on osCommerce. You may find a lot of companies around that can do great things with osCommerce, you would never thing they are using that ecommerce engine.

    Check this one out www.latinterritory.com

Also if you visit the osCommerce community you will find great stores that does not look like osCommerce. Also with great add ons.

Check the host quote and the offers on this forums to see if there are some ISP's covering your requirements.

Well, you could always try Micfo. They supply a couple of different shopping carts (which I haven't tried myself) with their accounts. My experience with their reliability and speed is very good.
