SSL Probs

Iam unable to access my server via the ssl port https://67.xx.xx.xx/ i was under the impression that this should return some sort of default cpanel page.

When i setup users there should be a private_html dir created for ssl access to domains ie. https://test.com

I dont know much about ssl but this has worked previously with other servers, im not sure why it will not work now.

Here are the logs from error_log when a connection attempt is made via an ssl port via a web browser:

[Thu Jul 28 12:39:11 2005] [error] [client 84.xx.xx.xx] Invalid method in request \\x80L\\x01\\x03
[Thu Jul 28 12:42:00 2005] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] Invalid method in request \\x80L\\x01\\x03
[Thu Jul 28 12:45:42 2005] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx] Invalid method in request \\x80L\\x01\\x03
[Thu Jul 28 12:47:21 2005] [error] [client xxx.xx.xxx.xxx] Invalid method in request \\x80m\\x01\\x03
[Thu Jul 28 12:47:22 2005] [error] [client xxx.xx.xxx.xxx] Invalid method in request \\x80m\\x01\\x03

This is a fresh OS/cpanel install RHEL 3

Thanks for any help in advance.

voidhosting,

This usually indicates that SSL isnt really enabled on your port 443.

You may want to check your <VirtualHost> settings to see if you have SSLEngine turned on.
