    Need some help regarding runnng Tomcat 5.X on Russian WinXP

    Dear All,

    Deeply appreciate you can help me solve this problem as i've been trying for days to solve it yet istill got this error message after i install and run tomcat. What should i do to rectify this problem?

    That error indicates that some byte array being used by java should be in utf-8 encoding, but apparently isn't.

    The bytes being used could come from the db. But I'm picking they come from the config file you're defining the userdatabase paramters.

    Check the encoding you're using on that file. If possible use UTF-8. Then set a -Dfile.encoding=UTF8 in your java environment (e.g. by setting a JAVA_OPTS in $TOMCAT_HOME/bin/ - VPS Hosting and Dedicated Server Hosting since 2003 - Peace of Mind Web Site Monitoring
