    Register_global question

What will be the security risk to leave the REGISTER_GLOBAL on in PHP and does Cpanel need this to be on to work properly??

Does turning it off cause any problem in popular php script such as PHPNUKE, MAMBO and PHPBB ??

    Thanks Guys

People can pass arguments in badly written php-scripts. (register_globals on trusts variables passed by a webform of URL, so you have to force a check)

Turning it off doesn't break well written software.

Cpanel runs its own dedicated webserver aside from apache... so no it will not break it. Note, there is a php.ini for apache, and also one for cpanel. Make sure you only edit the apache php.ini
