I posted a quick review on my site earlier. I would have posted it here, but I didn't think most would care.
The new PSP 2.0 firmware upgrade came out in Japan today. Some of the new things included were AAC playback support, security upgrades, as well as an included web browser. Naturally, being the 1337 g33k that I am, I decided to install it on my American PSP to see how things went.
The firmware installed without a problem.
The web browser loads FAST, much faster than the WipeOut browser hack that I tried before. This time around, an actual cache was included, so I could load some pages like Google in a matter of seconds.
If I had to complain, the tab navigation seemed clunky with different colors appearing on top of the screen for no apparant reason, but it's usable.
Sounds great..but I'm not going to bother getting a PSP until battery life becomes longer...

It's only the Japanese version that's out isn't it? From what I've read if you try and update a USA PSP it says you already have the latest version. So you then need to download the file and move it over onto the memory stick.
