    OK, great thread-starter.
The only one of those I have used myself is Micfo. And they have been very good to me. Fast servers, great uptime. Support: no problems.

    Powweb and Midphase: personally, I wouldn't ....

    Hello,

Just a few moments ago I posted a set of guidelines for you to use during your search in your previous topic. Although I have not used any of these web hosts personally, I am certain you will find the guidelines expressed in that reply very helpful in narrowing down your list. Good Luck!

    Just my observations:

You asked about the top 2.
You must not have read much here about how to choose a host.
If you don't want to I can't help you since I don't personally think it's one host's place to give "advice" about another host but there are plenty of user experiences and topics with tips for choosing hosts if you care to take some time reading.

If you don't have anything "critical" as far as your web site's needs just put them all on a list on a dart board and pick one that way. It's faster than doing "homework".

While the screen shot does show the server to be "down" (apache), you could still check those forums, especially if you are running UBBT (only a few beta patches available) or phpBB both have had numerous security problems lately with phpBB releasing 2 patches in the last 10 days.

    INTEGRAHOSTING GOT ME.....
integrahost and integrahosting are different companies. Which one got you? And if you don't mind me asking, how did they manage to "get you"?

Why did you pick them? Any reason?

You should have researched a little more before choosing them

Let me pose this question to host's:

Is it not normal to maybe have 1 server reset a month or periodically a mysql reset which gives you 2min-15min downtime?

i would not say that is normal. servers should maintain the maximum uptime possible.

So your telling me, you have never had to reset a server? Or are you just trying to make yourself sound perfect. I know plently of the big hosts, everyone has to do it.

it may happen once in a blue moon, but it's not a regular occurrence.

It's not unusual, but it's not normal. Most servers should be able to go for 25-50 days without problem. MySQL isn't a service that needs restarted much, however it wouldn't be unusual to restart is once or twice a week causing 10-30 seconds of downtime for a MySQL driven site.

Correct inogenious! Nobody's sever is always up... no one.. hints why there is no 100% uptime... The only reason we restarted sql was because there was alot of strain on it at the moment. First reset on it in 2 months that I'm aware of.
