How do you explain your customers when receive spam from their own domain
Recently some of my customers has started to receive emails from addresses like [email protected]
In other words as if the spam were coming from their own domain.
I suppose that I am not the only one, but how do you explain that to your customers?
Just tell them the truth - which is probably that somebody is sending email with a fake return email adress. This happens all the time.
You can start by explaining that this is spoofing. Do a search in Google, look for one of two of the more authorative sites there and send it to your client to know in greater details.
Just explaining may not help, some clients will want some proof, showing them the links does clear up their doubts.
Send them an email explaining spoofing... and make the return address [email protected] to demonstrate it
