Im using paypal on my website to take payments and im also running google adwords to advertise. My question is this...in order to use the conversion feature on google, you need to palce that code snippet on a thank you page. The problem Im having is that with Paypal, it doesnt automatically transfer the buyer to the thank you page..instead it gives them the option to go to it by clicking a button after the payment has been processed. This really skews my conversion estimates since most people just close the paypal window after payment is made (instaed of clicking the button to return to the thank you page). is there any way around this?
I do not see a solid way around this. Although you do want your customers to see that their transaction has been validated and approved, it is difficult for you to insert tracking code on a third party's website.

You can setup a page on your site where you will redirect visitors from google adwords. Potential customers will continue on your site from that page and you can get the details of visitors of that page from your stats or logs. You can verify the signup IP's from the logs and that wau you can get exact details.
This is some what tedious job but its better to try this for at least 1 month to verify what google has been giving you for all that you pay them.
