    Auto-Attendants

I don't know if this goes in programming or here, but I was wondering, how are auto-attedants made? What programming language? Any links you can provide to help me read up? And before you ask, I'm talking about the phone kind of auto-attendant, not those bots on MSN or AIM

    ... couldn't help it.

It's an opensource phone system, generally would be thought to be at least a good starting point. If you combined it with some good programming and say, AT&T's speech to text, along with text to speech, you would be in a pretty good spot

PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange which is basically a office phone system.

Asterisk is an awesome phone system that has many capabilities.

You can check out its website @ http://www.asterisk.org

    Thanks
