I have a customer who is getting the following error message whenever he sends an e-mail, however his e-mail messages do get through, this message is bounced back into his mailbox:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
local delivery failed
The following text was generated during the delivery attempt:
------ <RECIPIENT ADDRESS> ------
Cwd object version 3.06 does not match $Cwd::VERSION 3.09.
This error message is only sent to him, no other customer on the same server, and he gets it when he sends an e-mail to anyone. I would never much appreciate any input.
You might want to view the cPanel news it is due to Boxtrapper being removed.
Tell the customer to check his SMTP server in (outlook probably)..
That could be the cause of it.
May be the email address to which he is sending email doesnt exsist.
I usually get that error if thats the problem
He might have sent his mail client to automatically CC or BCC all outgoing messages to an address which was on this server but he deleted in the meantime.
