Win 2003 enterprise x64 so cheap?

I was wondering where some of these venders are getting win 2003 enterprise so cheap. I was able to buy full version with 25 CAL for under $200, after receiving it I checked it out with Microsoft and it is legal.

None of my direct venders are able to come close to this price, however I see this software all over the auction sites for about the same price. Wondering if the stuff on the auction sites is legal too?

Is is a very good offer! Have you check is it a retail pack? Microsoft check that it is legal does not mean totally safe, the CD can be duplicated and the key used many times.....

Just trying to find out where they are getting it from I could see if it was win2k server, but this is very new software at 1/10th of it's normal price... I figure it must be stolen or something.

It sounds like it was purchased under a non-profit or charity license. Or perhaps at the company store. Software from the store has a sticker with the employee number affixed to it, so I'm guessing that's NOT what you have.
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

When you say you checked with Microsoft, how exactly did you do that? Did you call them or did the product just activate?

It could be part of the AMD/MS/Tyan bundle from the roadshow. $500 for the mobo, dual opterons and w2003 ent. edition...

I understand you're not allowed to resell these, they're for your use only.
