I have a VPS right now with 100 accounts. Though the CPU load is not much at all but still some clients have started complaning of sites opening slowly.
When i asked techs about it they said i have 1.5 mbps unmetered connection and becuase it keeps on getting shared when people visits sites other people gets sites slowly.
So i thought why not move to a better server. And i did a lot of searching on google and found that majority of server providers provide only 512 MB RAM. Is this enough ? I am going to run Linux/CPanel.
Also i am thinking of getting a Linux server it has P4 2.4, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, 100 mbps uplink, 1200 GB monthly bandwidth.
This sounds okay but the problem is that when i try to calculate the stuff for making packages i am stuck.
I try to divide the available space which is going to be around 75 GB with 1200 GB bandwidth i am getting and then it is not enough. How will i go about this ? Can anyone help me ?
Are 80 GB harddrives are just for fun or people really use them ? As currently i am giving 20 MB with 1 GB bandiwtdh to my customers. How i am going to cater with such low bandwidth to them if i go for this dedicated ?
