Normally there is no problem if you have two home partitions in different disks, and it is better to have a separate disk for backup and also you can have the backup in different directory other than /home2 and on same disk.

Thanks,

You might be running low on space on main hdd hence the guy split users between hard drives.

my hdd1 is 250gb which has /home dir, and my hdd2 is 300gb which has /home2 dir. I still have a lot of space in /home dir (70% or more). I think i will move all accounts to /home dir and leave /home2 dir for backing up only, am i right ?

Last few night, my server was load so high, it said something about swapping, do you think my server load because swapping ? Thanks

Sure then move everybody to /home.

Yes, constant swapping ups the load tremendously. You might want to add more RAM.
