I've always thought about getting a plane, but never got round to it. Maybe sometime this summer. I looked last year and they're not that expensive so might be worth a try.
P.S. It's "vehicle"Steve

I've been through a couple of RC cars when I was younger - only cheapo things, though. Always wanted to get a proper petrol-powered RC car/plane/helicopter.

I have an Air Hog RC plane. Not the real expensive ones that run on gas or anything but I can crash it and most likely it will be ok

I have a helicopter, got it from www.towerhobbies.com a few years ago - was great fun a first but don't use it any more. It was a challenge to build it and learn to fly it but once that was achieved it got a bit boring – time to move on to the real thing

That does sound like an unfortunate accident. I'm wanting to get out to fly it more so I can get good enough to fly it around my house. I have the sky winder plane and it's fun to fly http://www.airhogs.com/airhogs/airho...ct.jsp?key=164 .

Anyone seen this?
http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=HydroFoam
pretty cool... can't tell whether its supposed to be a boat or a plane... maybe all of the above.
Also had a friend who just got a job at Traxxas (http://www.traxxas.com) in Dallas as a project leader designing RC cars. This was his first week on the job, I think.

I used to have cars, planes and helicopters. The Helis were my favorite followed by the cars. Planes got boring after a while as there was only so much you could do. The cars were great when the weather wasn't good for flying the Helis. Helis take a lot of coordination and a LOT of practice.

Like many here, I've actually always wanted an RC plane, and for a while was pretty intent on getting one. I participated in an online RC forum, and I knew which one I was going to get; it was only $45 for the starter kit, and the plane was supposed to be decent. I know the name started with a "d," but I forget exactly what it was called.
They just sound really fun, but I'm sure after a while, the novelty wears off. It's still a challenge, though, and I'd like one of those with a large wingspan and a good radio, which make it more challenging to fly.
