Products: cheap, you get what you pay for. Actually looks okay, but has blemishes and stuff.
Customer service: NIL!
I recently sent in an order to them to get full color business cards printed with custom front and back. On the front should have been my name, address, and phone numbers. on the back was to be all my web based contact info (url, email, messenger names, etc).
So I paid extra to have the custom back, and guess what I get? A CALENDAR on the back, with a VistaPrint logo for it's background!
So I call their customer service number, and spent about 20 minutes on hold. then when I finally get a human, he speaks with a THICK accent. And there's tons of background noise, so it's a little hard to concentrate.
Anyhow, we spend like 7 minutes going back and forth, exchanging info and stuff, and then he puts me on hold for another 8 minutes. At this point, I'm throwing pencils at my cork-board out of boredom.
He finally comes back, and says 'I give you great deal! You get 80% off normal price if you reorder the cards!'
I look at the site, and see that today is their 80% off all items sale. I tell him this, and he says 'then what you want for me to do?' I tell him that since I paid for the custom backside, to give me that free on my next order. he says 'that I cannot do sir!' So I ask him what VistaPrint intends on doing to compensate me for the 250 business cards they totally screwed up? He said, and I QUOTE! 'I'm sorry sir, but there's nothing for me to do for you. You design cards, so it's your responsibilities to get it right.' I point out to him for the fifth time that when I ordered, it WAS correct, and I paid for the correct order and he just says 'you design cards, not our responsibilities.'
At this point I get angry and say 'So in other words, VistaPrint doesn't care a lick about anything they do wrong, and will only attempt to remotely fix the problem with a current sale if you reorder the order they screwed up! This is insane. I'm definitely never buying from VistaPrint again. We're done here. goodbye.' and I hung up.
DO NOT BUY FROM VISTAPRINT!
This says nothing about the twice daily emails for their stupid $1 sales!
I got a custom print from VistaPrint and i was ok. I got what i paid for. Ok, the cards should have been black but some of them were more greyish but still fine. I haven't had a cutom backside printed though but intended to do so on my next order.

I got cards with their 250 card promotion. The paper it came on was really no different than what I could print at home. I dont know if they use that paper for all their cards or only their free promo cards. The cards were printed ok otherwise for me.
It's a great tool for researching good companies as well as getting back at bad companies.
Its only works for reporting or researching companies in the US.
Also, its a great way for people to get back at good companies too. You are allowed to state your side of things, but the BBB doesn't report what you said...only that you've had a complaint against you.

I ordered from Vistaprint.co.uk.
Order 250 full gloss cards with the back printed on and address labels.
Took about 2 weeks for delivery (from Sweden). To be honest, they looked better than I had expected. I always order from them and haven't had any problems. As for customer service, I used email and got a speedy reply.
Maybe the .co.uk one is operating better than the US branch?

I got took one time on VistaPrint. My experience much as described above. (except my logo with a paint bucket looked like a sardine can )Then I happen by my local packaging/shipping store and look in the window. They have basic cards for 19.99/500 and custom only costs me 42. I've had good experiences with Office Depot too.
Originally posted by HiVelocity we have also had problems with vista print.
What kind of problems?
As i said already. The only problem i had was their measurements which seems to be different then i am used to and yes a slight color difference. Other than this i was pleased with VistaPrint. They delivered in Time, the quality of the paper was ok and i think what you get for the money is fair.
I had some business cards done in a local shop and i paid €200 for 1000 bc's. Huge difference to VistaPrint.
the cards were very cheap quality , and didnt come anywhere close to what we were expecting. I know you get what you pay for , but we really were not expecting anything that cheap , we basically threw the cards away.
We have also used VistaPrint (UK, not sure if the service in US and UK varies) and have never had any problems. We ordered 1000 custom front and custom back cards from them on quite a few occasions and they've always turned out fine. Quality has never been superb, and my father (who works for a big ink manufacturer) often complains when they come through, but the're not for him, and he refuses to do me a better deal, so I'm fine with them
I guess in the US the service may be completely different, as it seems everyone who has posted about UK has had good experiences.
I've used VistaPrint and was very happy with the business cards I got. I even went as far as to jump on their "Just add $5 for a card holder!" "Just add $5 to double your order" .. maybe they took extra special care to make mine really nice? Who knows. All I care about is the fact that I was very happy with mine.
I experienced problems with my Vistaprint order but they were willing to help. The business cards came out crooked and they gave me a full refund and a coupon to use to re-order. In the end, everything worked out. My recommendation is to always order a proof for anything that you are sending out to be printed.
I have to disagree with the OP. I had just received my biz cards back from vistaprint and not a single blemish. They look great imho and the price was cheaper than expected.

John, happened to you too, eh? Yea, we had about 200 cards printed with them and most of them were crooked also. By "cooked" I mean that the text on the cards appeared scewed and was not lining up straight. It also looked like they cut the cards a little off or something.
At least it's nice to hear we were not the only one having this issue. BTW, I recommend CoolPrint. They really have done a great job for us.
