    simple perl help > internal server error

    I placed this script:

    #!/usr/bin/perl
    print `/usr/sbin/eximstats -html -charts -chartdir /home/someuser/public_html/ms -pattern 'Number of Virus killed:' /virus/ /var/log/exim_mainlog >/home/someuser/public_html/ms/mailstats.html`;

    as a file in cgi-bin.
    It executes fine... but then I get an
    500 Internal Server error

    also what simple code do I need to have the script open the mailstats.html page automatically?

    any ideas?

    i do think that this is a fix, as it fixed all my internal error 500 errors:
    PHP Code:
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    print `/usr/sbin/eximstats -html -charts -chartdir /home/someuser/public_html/ms -pattern 'Number of Virus killed:' /virus/ /var/log/exim_mainlog >/home/someuser/public_html/ms/mailstats.html`;
