Harry Potter
Well, its Friday the 15th. The long awaited book comes out tomorrow, whos getting it? Me, I preordered it a while ago and I finally got confirmation on shipping. While I'm not obsessed or anything with Harry Potter, I do enjoy reading the books. Anybody else getting the book?

I think I will be - for my wife. Oddly enough she's just disappeared an hour ago to "get me a present". Funny how she's feeling so generous the day before the new Harry Potter lands.
Of course she's been going nuts waiting for it to come out so I suppose I don't blame her for hedging her bets.
The books have alwaus been on my 'to-do' list but I just haven't gotten around to them yet.Former Webhost... now, just a guy.

I leave at 11:30 PM to drive to a book store to pick them up for my kids. They don't know they're getting them, I think...

I read the first book, some of the second, and just stopped from there. I don't know why, but I just couldn't get into them as much as many people. I enjoyed reading the one I did, but it wasn't that great, IMO.
My sister will be receiving her copy tomorrow from Amazon.com. She's even been reading one of the old ones -- for the 157,297th time -- this week, in anticipation for the new one -- building up her fervor, I guess you could say.

Meijers, a mid-west rival to walmart, has the book for $14.53 or something like that at midnight, I know plenty of people who are buying it. I'll personally wait until I can buy cheaply off of amazon, or rent it from the library.

I'm not into those harry potter books like the rest ..... You know the world is wrong when they protect those books more than they protect a president or prime minister.

What number are they on now, 5? 6? Anyway, I read most of them except the latest one or two. I just lost interest. It's a pretty interesting concept, but I'd prefer a Grisham novel anyday

Someone on Slashdot was kind enough to post a link to an image of the page which reveals how the book ends, so I thankfully do not have to read it.

Not worth reading IMO. I'll wait for the movie - that way I've only spent a couple hours on something for entertainment rather than a good couple days. Haha. I only like non-fiction books.

I was at Old Chicago (good pizza, even better beer) and it's next to Barnes and Nobles and they were a ton of people lined up at around 11:00 PM. Some dressed up. I don't get it for that or Star Wars or anything. Why stand in line when you can get it the next day or next week sans hassle!

Harry Potter is rubbish.
It's just a washed down, overly simplified version of Lord of the Rings.
If you are older than ten, try giving Tolkien's books a read for some true literature.Haven't been on WHT for 6 years!

Why read when you can watch? Thats what I always say
"Let go, Let God"
"He didn't lose his life on the cross, He gave it"
"No matter which path you choose, you can only move forward"

BLEH...actually, I never really cared for LOTR. Actually, the books put me to sleep. So did the movies -- had to attempt several times before catchimg most of it.
Ordered the HP book from chapters yesterday. Though, I dunno if I'll get around to reading it for a while (since my little sister will likely hijack it).:: Kevin

Then every magic related fantasy book is related to LOTR.Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
