You want to run VPS software on an XSeries?

You will need one of the newer ones which allow a lot more memory. A dual Xeon CPU will be best too.

IBM Xseries servers are fantastic servers.

We have dozens of IBM xSeries servers. Been running them for years, never had a single hardware failure. Ever.

If you're going to run VPS you'll need a minimum of 6GB RAM. You'll be OK with 1 Xeon CPU if you're not concerned with benchmarking scores, but you must have RAM to avoid hitting the swap.

Hmm, IBM x series, yeah, you would need dual with at least 3gb ram to be doing that

He forgot about the PSU (in fact the first one to fail) I replaced last week. Thank god machine had redundant PSU's.
