I had some questions about DNS. I have a unixshell vps and they host some of my DNS records for me. I there an easy way to brand my own name severs. Like: ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com for domain registration. Can this be done with Cname that map back to unixshell, maybe A records in my domain that map to unixshell’s IPs or do I have to some how include the names in my actual zone files?
You would need to register these at your registrar and then create the A records for each. It's free to do this at most registrars.
