    database mysql failed

    hi everyone

I just got a new server and trying to restart mysql in WHM, but it doesn't allow me to do that
here is the message in WHM:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "Warning, no valid mysql.sock file found.mysql has failed").
Can anyone tell me what wrong ? and how to fix it

    thanks alot

The error is actually self explanatory.
A> make sure mysql is installed
B> make sure mysql is running
If both, then make sure you're using the right user/pass to connect to the server.
