    Hosting Champ,
One of the most important steps is securing your /tmp partition.

If you're running cPanel you could even use this:
    /scripts/securetmp

    Greetings:

The documentation you use may be control panel specific.

Are you using an automation system or control panel?

    Thank you.

Not really true any more, almost all of the problems we find on servers are related to perl scripts. Making /tmp noexec is important but mod_security with a good ruleset is a great idea. Really though it is important to have multiple layers so even if one gets compromised your server is ok.
