Question

Which server I need?

I have a website and one fórum with 40 a thousand only visits, consumes 2000GB bandwidth for month, does not have archives for download, only pages PHP and HTML.

Which dedicated server that I must catch so that the site and fórum are not slow?

I wouldn't say 2GB+ but 1.5GB would be good.

Hang on, we need more info.

You say 40,000 visits- is that to the forum or website?

Is it in a shared environment at the moment?

You really need to just find out what resources it's using at the moment, you could push 2000Gb transfer EASILY on a 2.0Ghz with 512Mb RAM, with no slow down- it depends on what your serving- dynamic php forum pages, or static pages?

I have a site in PHP with 40.000 visits (DB 15MB Mysql), and in fórum 10,000 visits (fórum invision board) with 60.000 usuarios and 110,000 posts (DB with 400MB Mysql).

At the moment I am in a server dedicated P4 3.0Ghz + 1024MB memory + HD 36GB SCSI + Cpanel/WHM + 2500GB bandwidth.

Necessary of a server that holds this site and fórum, therefore necessary to leave the server that I am at the moment. Somebody could indicate me a place where she is reliable, that not seje expensive and that if adjusts the configuration that I need.

Is this server slow?
If it's not, leave it. Do "top" at shell and see what the load and memory usage is like throughout the day.
