    I thought Paris would win too. The TV news coverage was showing footage of the local French business community planned celebration (lots of wines and champagnes)and none for London. Also a pledge by the French they wont drink a single drop if they lose.

    Wonder what happen to those bottles now......

    According to a pundit, in history of IOC, the favourite rarely won.

    It is just like running sports, the one behind just manages to pike to finish. The London team timed their bid very well.

    Unfortunate for Paris, this is their third attempt.

    Well, I saw the mood in French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore on t.v. as somber, but everyone was still drinking wine.

    I guess they will show us that they are not true to their word...that is if they choose to take a sip of their wine.

    I wasn't expecting the U.S. to win for the main reason that we have had them twice in the last nine years. However it was great seeing London win over Paris.
