I thought Paris would win too. The TV news coverage was showing footage of the local French business community planned celebration (lots of wines and champagnes)and none for London. Also a pledge by the French they wont drink a single drop if they lose.
Wonder what happen to those bottles now......

It is just like running sports, the one behind just manages to pike to finish. The London team timed their bid very well.

I wasn't expecting the U.S. to win for the main reason that we have had them twice in the last nine years. However it was great seeing London win over Paris.
