The only hype over the Google Toolbar was because it had some great features in it at the time of the initial release, Display PR, Block Popups, Autofill, a Instant Google Search...
For Firefox, its completely worthless, because If its not already standard in Firefox, there's and extension for it already..

I don't think I will install it. I actually hide mine, but, use another pagerank extension that shows at the lower right hand corner of the window. Should be interesting though...

the unofficial pagerank plugin for firefox always displays incorrect results for me. I'm happy to see an official plugin be released.

Aparently Google works in the future... we won't be able to use it for a while...
Seeing as Linux is only 2.6.12 for stable versions.
