SSL error at my friend's website
Please take a look at http://www.quickeasycontact.com/. One of my online friend owns it.
Whenever we visit that site, we got an error message about SSL on that site. My friend is asking me why it is happening and I don't have answer for it since I don't know myself too.
Could anyone kindly take a look and tell me what kind of error it is and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance.
Exactly, when you click on "view certificate", the SSL is issued to quickeasycontact.com, not
www.quickeasycontact.com. So to get rid of the popup use https://quickeasycontact.com instead

Also, his domain is setup for SSL even for the
http:// (non-ssl), and is auto-rewriting the URL to add the www. if it was not requested by the client.
If you don't want to have to buy a new cert, then you should turn off the www. rewrite rule and put one in which will remove any www. from the requested url/uri (cheaper to do this than buy a new cert).
If you want SSL accessible through
https://*.quickeasycontact.com (including both www and without), you'd need wildcard SSL which is much more expensive.
Other than that, a better way would be to set up SSL at a URL like https://secure.quickeasycontact.com
If you wanted to view it with both www and without www without the popup the cheapest way would be to set up two different websites on dedicated IP's, but then you would need to maintain them both.
You may also try to setup a .htaccess file that redirects to www.
Most SSL providers will reissue a cert to you within 30 days without charging you. Just email their support desk.

And, jamesyeeoc, could you kindly tell me how to turn off the www. rewrite rule and put one in which will remove www. from the requested URL?
