Back in January, in
this thread we speculated about the possibility of Looksmart following the lead of Yahoo and instituting an annual fee. I'll repeat the recommendation I made then, that if you're planning a Looksmart submission you should do it soon to get in before this change happens -- because Looksmart Australia is making just that change, starting on April 2:

Which, just for the sake of historical accuracy, is incorrect. It was Looksmart that went from $199 to $299 first, in August; Yahoo followed in September. The conclusion, though, seems to be right.
