I can get an internet merchant account through my business account at my bank that is only slightly higher than what I can find at Cardservicesales and other similar companies and through hosting companies that bundle such services. Are there pros working with my local bank that outweigh the greater expense?
Actually most banks use a merchant account processor instead. For example, Chase has a partnership with First Data (who owns Cardservice) to provide merchant solutions. So in essence, you are going thru the same company, etc.
I would recommend going thru a processor instead because that is their job / business plan.
If you are thinking of going thru cardservicesales, you might contact Corey on here. He helped me get a merchant account thru Cardservice and I have been more than pleased with this support afterwards. He provides a lot more than what you would expect an agent to provide.
Well I was chatting with CDGcommerce (Prasad). I ask some questions about additional fees, etc. He disconnected the chat. Not sure why unless there were some stuff not disclosed. Guess I will keep looking.
