I was just wondering if anyone else on here has used charge.com for CC processing. We are thinking about using them because their rates are the best we've found in the whole industry and they have real 24/7 support. If anyone else has used them could you please tell us about what your experience with them was?
charge.com is actually a reseller for Cardservice. Most CSI merchants were running a special of 1.99% up until last night actually.
Cardservice might lower the rate again soon but knowing how large corporations work, it might be a couple of months
But a lot of merchants use Cardservice, Cardservice was ranking 19 last year in the Neilsen report for selling merchant accounts actually bringing in over $10 billion. CSI parent company, First Data, is also the owner of TeleCheck and Western Union.
Dont bother with them unless your bank account lets you do free wire transactions. my bank has $20 per wire, and charge.com sends wire transfers after each card is processed. Forget it i would be loosing money if i went with them.
Charge.com provides merchant accounts for U.S.-based businesses.
If you are an international merchant without a U.S. bank account, you would need to look into an alternative solution anyways.

Has anybody checked out Corey's 1.99% promo for Cardservice? From what I can tell its the lowest out there. You don't have to process high volume (as with cdg commerce) and they provide free gateway setup. Also, Corey has been on this board for 2 years and has an excellent reputation.
