I have complained about them before, but their behaviour is now reaching new lows.
I signed up with them about 3 months ago. Before doing anything I told them my site could reach pretty high bandwith and asked them if it was a problem.
I won't bore you with the details as I explained it before, anyway, they wanted to than double the price , so I decided to switch host.
Once I had the new server up and running, I contacted Hostik for their procedure to cancel the account, they told me I had to let them know 30 days in advance, and the guy on the phone noticed the server wasn't getting any traffic at all.
Because they had charged my creditcard a few days before, they said they wouldn't refund anything.
When I got back home, I tried to connect to the server to clean it up, but it had been taken down, even before I asked to cancel.
Of course I didn't want/need the server, but since they were charging me one more month, I wanted it online, or I wanted a refund.
So I contacted them again, they said they would decide what to do I would contact me again.
of course they never did, phoned them up again, they said they have decided not to refund or restart the service, and that was it.
So they charged for the service and they don't deliver it, as simple as that, if that's not fraud then I don't know what fraud is.
they said they disconnected the server because of the bandwith problems, and the server had zero bandwith. (I was allowed 3000 GB/month).
Don't trust their offer, it's a big lie, they will try to squeeze more money down the road.
Customer service doesn't even bother to reply to emails, nevermind fixing the problem.
The server used to be rebooted nearly daily, Everytime I connected to the server I would get the message to justify what it was rebooted, every day, when I asked customer service they didn't bother replying.
One of the times I called trying to solve the problems, they told me I have been calling all day, surely they know how to treat customers.
I don't expect to get my money back, but I do hope that somebody else doesn't get stuck with this people, they are thieves, pure and simple, and incredibly rude. I know they won't be in business much longer, this is a competitive market and if they treat customers like that, but I won't to do my best to accelerate that process.

yes, but they know I am not going to go to California to sue them.
this the typical internet startup started by only technicians and not business people, that's why I am sure they won't last much, but at this point I only want to avoid more people being deceived by them.
Originally posted by Deepbluehosting Chargeback don't mean you sue them. You file a complaint with your credit card company or paypal that they took down the server that you paid for and you did not ask for it to be canceled.
I already talked to my bank, they will do nothing, Canadian Banks
I had a similar problem before (nothing to do with hosting), and I had paid with a Citibank card, they reversed the charge without further questions, Citibank is # 1 for a reason, but that's beyond the topic.
I even talked to a lawyer in my company. He told me that if I take them to court I will win, and that would cost them thousands, but the problem is that I need to be in California to sue them, or have a representative there, because of the small amounts involved it's not possible.
However, if as a result of their dishonest behaviour they lose 10 customers, I am satisfied, these people are in an internet business but I don't think they understand the reach of the internet, the news about them being cheaters can spread pretty quickly, and they have other businesses.
Unfortunately, when I signed up with them nobody had heard anything yet, lesson learned, I will never again sign up with a company with no references.
the last time, I did come here and took time to read reviews and I got a pretty good deal with server4sale and sagonet, and I am quite satisfied, the difference is just abysmal, pretty much the difference between dealing with business people and dealing with thieves.
