    WHM Autopilot

Should I use AP? or something else?

  2. #2
There are tons and tons of threads regarding various billing softwares. Search the forums for WHM Autopilot and read what people think, there is no need to create a new thread.

IMHO I don't like the order process of WHMAP. I would suggest ClientExec or ModernBill.

I personally prefer the order process of WHM Autopilot which lets me sell addons and domain names. The support is first rate.

I'm using ClientExec at the moment as it is the only product out there that supports multiple currencies at the moment.

V3 of Autopilot will support multy billing profiles, so we can add 1 currency for each profile.

Will try it when it is reseased.

I used WHM for a little while, then switched to ModernBill. I preferred the ordering, customization, and ease of use of WHM, but MB had a few more features and stats that eventually won me over. I'd say get the demo of MB and WHM and see which one suits you best, because migrating later is a pain.

Exactly what eppler said, see which one you like best.
It's like control panels. Try each one, and pick the best one.

    etechsupport2,

RIGHT ON THE MONEY! We have 4 sites (3 live) and use ModernBill. Takes a little bit of time to config, but now, it works like clock work!

You should give it a shot... they do have a free 30 day trial

Yes, they can manage all their domains and web hosting packages in the same control panel.
ModernBill does have a lot of configuration options you should prepared to spend some time to get acquainted with it, however once it's implemented I'm sure you'll find it pretty well.
I think there is no need of taking support from any one, you are well capable for that if you get acquainted with it.

    lol.

Yes, WHM AP version 3 has been promised for about a year now... it is currently in "beta", with no release date scheduled. (I think they finally learned a lesson about posting any dates.)

The functionality appears pretty basic, but the design of the application is good. The design will allow (eventually) external coders to create modules that will give improved/new functionality.

BUT.... I highly doubt v3 will be anything close to ModernBill is right now even in several months. AND, modernbill is supposed to be releasing their new version sometime this summer, too....

My recommendation is to use WHM AP version 2 if you have a basic web hosting company and don't need many fancy features/functionality.

If you have a larger company (or intend to grow into one), then ModernBill is probably a better solution for you since it will "grow with you" as you need more functionality and features.

Be sure to come back here and let us know what you decided and why...

do a search on this forum for "lpanel"or Lpanel - If you have not checked them out you should.
The url is www . lpanel . net

They have a live demo, free trial and open forum - version 1.6 is due our any day now and they do update the software a few times each month. I was given a discount being that we have an active license for AP and MB.

    good luck.

    Thumbs down

I've been with Lpanel for few months now.

And the only reason I'm still with them is probably becasue I'm too lazy to move...

The support is weak and slow.
The new version is in beta right now and still lack a lot of core feature like multiple taxes, multiple language,etc...)

I'm currently looking for another BP not sur eyet between MB or WHMAP

    My 2 cents

WHMAP v3 is going to be out in very short time, so i think that is the best option for now.

I would not say WHMAP v3 is the best option for now as it is still not out of beta. If they are looking for something to use now it would not be worth waiting when they have not released a release date for v3.

They have anounced that it will be 1 or 2 weeks, so it is here very soon, before ModernBill and ClientExec for sure.

I have been using whmap v2 for 2 years. Works well and I don't have any problem at all. However I'm a bit disappointed of v3. If what Brandee is true v3 should be available 2 years ago.
