Do any webhosts offer fully (or mostly) functional trial accounts before commiting to long-term sign-ups? It would be a good way for potential customers to evaluate a propective host before commiting to a full signup. 30-day money-back guarantees aren't always what they should be.
we gave 7 days trial period for our potential customers.
But most of the trial accounts become a good target for the spammers and we had headache a lot...
and now, we provide a speed test to measure the connection speed between the client and our server. and for the moment i feel its useless to provide a trial with full permissions...
I agree with David, allowing demo/trial accounts would be taking a risk, which is not worth it.
We offered a 30-day trial promotion, but still required the user to sign up and proceed with payment method (paypal 30 day trial option). Verified each account before activating it, to prevent spammers and hackers from signing up.
Its worth it, as long as you have good fraud screening in place.
here here to that. Unfortunately too many hosts don't voice verify all their clients and have learned that one the hard way. Mind you we don't offer trial accounts either as simply stated above it usually would be used to try to do illegal or illegitimate tasks typically.
