We would like to have a repository folder with some documents on our website. We have a client base that we would like to allow access to.

I would like to track who is downloading these files and drop it into a database.

I know I can do this with .htaccess for "authentication" but I would like to track who is getting the files aswell.

I am just wondering if there is a COTS or open source application that would allow me to do this.

Yeah its sad when demos dont work. I do use that script for all our company documents so they are available from all our office locations and it seems to work very well.
