Arabic website high traffic, how to make some money off of it?

Have a client that gets about 30,000 unique visitors to their Arabic website. Have tried google and what not for them but it doesn't pull in clicks. Anyone have any ideas on what they might be able to do in order to make some money off the site? 80% of the people who visit only speak Arabic and the other 20% speaks Arabic and English. They currently lose money off the site every month and are looking for a way to make a profit. They are good clients and do translations for me sometimes so I wanted to help them out.

Thanks in advance for any ideas...

If the # of clicks is the problem, maybe they should carefully tweak the possition and format of the ads. Such simple tweaks can lead to important chances on the bottom line...

"Royalty Hosting Did they try Google Adsense? "

As I said in the first post tried google.

"Tebow incorporate some seo into their site.. Meta tags, etc.."

traffic is not the issue it's findinga way to make money off the traffic. Translation into english would not work it's a community forums site.

"If the # of clicks is the problem, maybe they should carefully tweak the possition and format of the ads. Such simple tweaks can lead to important chances on the bottom line..."

Have tried that, mostly I think it's the ad's that are not working as google doesn't even support Arabic.

Anyone have any info on Arabic banner/adv program?

    Hello
What kind of content does the website have? Are they interested in hosting banners on their site? If yes you can send me a PM or email me, I might go for it.

You can get money for popups that just show up and not clicked.

    Ask Google to SUPPORT Arabic.

Google already accepts AdWords ads in Arabic, so why on earth does it not support Arabic yet for AdSense publishers!

I've seen ads in Arabic in Google search pages. I've even seen Google AdSense ads in Arabic on content pages! (mixed with ads in English) So why on earth does Google still not support Arabic for adsense publishers. Very frustrating, specially that I'm from Egypt and Arabic is our language which makes it tough to monitize on our content. It's a pitty I'm forced to make all my content in English in order to be able to monitize on AdSense.

I believe G does not yet have the necessary technology for matching Arabic content, and the market is not that big for them to develop such technology yet. I hope that day comes soon when they let Arabic enter as an accepted language in their AdSense for publishers program as it is for their AdWords program.

If google isnt pulling chances are - other things wont.

You really need to put the ads where users are going to see them and click them.

If you WANT to make money, you may have to compromise the design - put the ad right where people see first. Test that out first then maybe offer advertising to arabic sites?

most arabic users use internet for free things, few ppl use credit cards online and Paypal not support most (if not all) arabic countries. so direct business won't work

    Problem not from Google :)

    Hi,
I sent Google AdSense ago about supporting Arabic in Ad Sense, and they replied that they don't support Arabic now, but the Problem is from Arabs not Google, as very few arabic sites advertise on Google ... so that they are not really business maker! may be in the future they'll care

i had a client that was getting over 1million unique visitors a month to a very popular arabic greeting card web site and they were forced to shut the doors to there business for the same reason. it seems like many large advertisers do not want to work with arabic web sites and many people in that part of the region do not use ecommerce as many do not have credit cards and merchants such as paypal dont support there service in that part of the world.

Yep might want to try some affiliate programs or so on, think about what your customers might be interted in buying, arabic books? english translatrion books? Use Amazon, or electronics even, web hosting etc. Might even make a sponser section and build these in as well as around the site.
