Hi,
There are some helpdesks out there that are free and have a faq integrated.
One is "Help center Live" that also has live chat built in. The URL to it is: http://www.helpcenterlive.com/
As far as I know Help Center Live is going ticketless, and may have done so. In Fantastico it is still offering the older version which has tickets added in.
The other one is Exo PHPDesk and the URL to that one is: http://exoscripts.com/
I am sure that there are many others, these are the two I am most familiar with.
Hope it helps!
Oh yes: You may want to check out hotscripts.com or something to search for other helpdesk scripts

You might also be able to use osticket and a 3rd party module.
I know you said free, but Kayako can't be beat for the price.
That or you could go check out the help desk suite at dvrtechnologies.com - Looks like a Kayako clone for about $70.

HI there,
http://exoscripts.com/ look good, as for osTicket, i don't think faq is integrated.
I think cerberus, but as mention it only allow one email license, not too sure if that what they want, but i think they will refer miti email license for a start.

I believe those few support management that are found over at cpanel isn't what they want.
i found out that a couple of you mention about some of the software that can be found over at cpanel.
I personally find http://exoscripts.com look good as it free and i personally believe that my reseller will like it.
But do keep your suggestions coming in, as i believe this should benifits alot other that are looking around for this free software too.

Another vote for Cerberus. They have a free version which supports 1 e-mail address and is just great.

Let me also add my vote for Cerberus. And let me also tell you to steer FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR (have I said FAR) away from HelpChatLive. That is one of the worst pieces of junk I've seen in a long time. Bugs galore and even AFTER you pay for their winapp program, they don't fix bugs with it. The live chat just LOVES to drop lines and not display them for me in the live chat.

I'm guessing you did not upgrade to the latest version 2 then? Sorry that it did not work out for you.

For clarity's sake, don't use "<ip address of hostname>" use the ACTUAL 32-bit numeric IP address of the machine.

Cerberus is great.
It's just hard to configure. Setting up the email parser is a real pain.
Once your though that, its the best free Help Desk ticketing system!
