    Acceptable minimum speed of server?

    Hello,

I am testing the speed of some VPS providers by downloading their test files. The speed range from a few KB/Sec to 105 KB/Sec. What is the acceptable minimum speed from your point of view?

The question you may want to consider is:

What is the minimal acceptable speed for you. You need to consider the average visitor to your stes that you will have there - If they are all using a Modem, then a few kb/s will be fine, If they all have broadband then you would like to see around the 100kb/sec.

My point of view is that faster is better, even if you do not need the speed at the moment. A fast transfer indicates a fast non-congested network.

    Hi,

I think all my clients are using broadband.
