Has anyone found a company out there that takes this off your hands and gets results for a reasonable price.
I would suggest doing it yourself and save the money, as long as you are trying to produce real content and not keyword crap you will be fine if you do the below:
1. Content is King - Google wants to find good content, you might fool the search engines short term but eventually you will get removed while the content websites will only grow. Don't abuse, only tweak.
2. Keep your HTML clean and use title/alt tags as well, stay away from dynamic titles and find scripts that are SEO compliant. Use good header levels to define the parts of your site.
3. Tweak your site to keywords a tad, don't go overboard but if you are writing an article on cell phones and what they can be used for to promote remote work, and the phrase “cell phones" is paying $1 a click and "atnt cell phones" is paying $20, then obviously make your examples of atnt cell phones to pull those ads up. Just some small tweaking that helps you and still relevant.
4. Trade links with relevent sites that will get you some traffic and links, submit to directories and search engines besides google.
Working on some articles with basic advice on what we have done at ResellerGuide.com, hopefully that article will be up in the next week or so. Really you just need to remember that content is what is important and natural link building, don’t go link sharing with thousands of people. Traffic takes some time to build, its not instant and beware people promising the top 10 at google.
I would suggest concentrate on building your site. The search engines will find you and your site will be listed higher and higher as it has more relevant contents or get more popular. Just ignore the pressures of PR etc, they will come naturally to a good site.
