moving files from one host to another with WHM?


I have reseller account and i wil host my friends site but how can i move his data from his current host ?

Usually, you'll need the passwords of each cPanel account (unless he has root access with his current host which I highly doubt).

Well i have password from his current host and i've just added him so i have his password on my host also...

Oh. I'm sorry I mis-read the question.

Just copy the account from another server with password. Look in the Transfers section of the left-side menu for the link Copy an account from another server with account password

Follow instructions and you should be golden.

Alternatively you can do it a slower way (which I doubt you want) and thats by sshing into the box and typing "/scripts/pkgacct usernamehere" and then wgeting the files over and then extracting via the WHM Restore backup function.
