    SiteRollOut.com and 27hosting.com

hey all, i have been a frequent visitor to the site for the past few months but this is my first post...

right now i have a reseller package at surpasshosting.com which is great but recently i been looking to purchase another reseller, at first i was just going to buy another reseller with surpass but then i decided to look around stumbled upon the following two sites:

    SiteRollOut.com and 27hosting.com

has anyone been with either of these hosts or know of any experiences with them? a friend of mine just recently bought a reseller from siterollout however he cant say much since it has only been a few days into the hosting and another friend has an account 27hosting and he has been with them for maybe a 2-3 months possibly and he says they good except support is a little slow (but that is no matter to me)....

so im just wondering if anyone has any experiences with either hosts and would like some feedback about them...

    thanks

I did some quick research on them both, here is what I found.

    27Hosting
    1) A user here on this forum with username 27hosting has there account disabled, which isn't usually a good thing.
    2) They offer unlimited space/bw plans - This is absolutely impossible and for me this would make me not want anything to do with the,.
    3) They appear to be reselling through site5.com which is a pretty good company

    SiteRollout
    1) They have unlimited plans as well, again this is not a good thing.
    2) They have an active user on this forum with username suhailc and he appears to have been here for about a year and contributes.
    3) They have there own custom nameservers so they may have there own servers.

Good luck with your choices however be careful. Anyone offering you unlimited space/bw isn't someone I would trust very far.

unmetered is slightly different then unlimited and usually have many more stipulations in there TOS. Your best bet is to read over each companies TOS/AUP, there will likely be restrictions in there as to what you can and can't do.

Many of the unlimited hosts are under a very bad business plan and if one thing goes wrong it could spell disaster. I guess it really depends how much of a chance you want to take and how important your company/website is to you.

Basically they go under the impression that you don't know what you're doing. Just remember, when looking at the plans, ask yourself one question. Where did they buy those unlimited GB hard drives? If you find that out, you would be a rich person!

I could develop an unlimited harddrive for you. It will only cost aproximately $1 Trillion USD and will take 5 years to develop.

How about this. I'll pay $1, and you pay the rest!

I seriously doubt they'll ever get a unlimited HD within the next .... 20 years.

I have used siterollout.com ! i had a reseller "so called unlimited account"

I used about 5gb space and was using 30-40gb per month.....
    with 180 accounts
Then they told me to purchase a dedicated server otherwsie they would susspend my reseller account. I was not very happy with that as they advertised unlimited everything..

Apart from that i had no other problems with their service.

    hi everyone,

    this suhailc from siterollout.com

firstly i would advise everyone critical of our "unlimited" policy, to please read our terms & conditions.

from this you will see that we restrict he type of sites that can be shared on our servers. so no download sites, no warez, no mp3s, video files or webspace used for backup. hence most sites will be fairly light and we can host hundreds of sites such as these on a shared server with ease. and that is exactly what we do!

we also stipulate that any reseller account/site not suitable on a shared server needs to be moved to a dedicated server. so our "unlimited" policy is subject to the limitations of the shared server.

i'd like to know what was djbungle's reseller domain and i can provide further details about why we may have asked him/her to move to a dedicated server.

so far i can recall that we have only asked 4 resellers to move to dedicated servers. 3 of these resellers were having their sites DOS attacked and we could not prevent this from affecting the server. they were repeat offenders or someone had a grudge against their sites and would not ease off. hence we asked them to either move to a dedicated server or to move to another web host. of these 3, 1 has moved to a dedicated server, and the other

the other 1 reseller had scripts running on all his sites which were too server intensive as the scripts were being invoked by javascript on dozens if not hundreds of sites, and some of those sites may have had DOS attacks as well. we had no choice but to also ask this client to move to a dedicated server.

i dont think we were unreasonable on any of these examples regardless of whether we offer unlimited plans(subject to our terms and conditions) or not.

    <<Snipped added fluff>>

    regards,
    suhail.
