I also think the Spurs will win in 6.. although I won't be to surprised if it goes to 7 games.

Pistons will probably take the next game (at detroit). I'm slightly unsure if they'll play up to the same calibur during the final 2 games at SA.

Maybe, though a three game winning streak and a 3-2 lead in the series feels should feel pretty good going into game 6.

can someone explain to me here in the UK what on Earth spurs and pistons are? I assume you are not talking about Totenham Hotspur.

www.nba.com should solve the confusion, we are talking about basketball, if you ever watched it in Europe, some of the best from the European leagues might be playing over here. Like the San Antonio Spurs Manu Ginobili, and next year they will have another one, but I can't remember his name right now.

  10. #10
Manu is banged up pretty badly. Tony had been shutdown. Duncan was sleeping. Horry did not have any clutch play to make. Bowen could not stop Hamilton. Barry, Brown, Mohammed, Beno did not eeven realize they were in the Finals with the defending champion.

Looking forward for the Pistons to finish 'em in the next two

Anyone that only watched game four would likely believe the Spurs wouldn't stand a chance. But, it ain't over.

The Pistonís arguably played their best defensive game of the season. And yet the Spurs scored 71 points. Pistonís have held opponants to much less.

So, there is light for Spurs fans.

After all, they did soundly defeat the Pistons in rounds one and two.

    This is an interesting series.

Detroit, is finally playing Detroit Basketball.
I think we will take these 3 games and take a game 7 (Heat Style).

31 points is more then just a win. It's mental.
Can they regroup? We are talking about the #1 defense in the league.

Manu, I think has to be playing hurt. It just hasn't really come out.
He dominated game 1 and 2. He would drive in and it was as if nobody was there.

Detroit did make some adjustments, especially putting a hand on the 3 point shooters.

But Detroit has also stepped up.

It will be an interesting series when we head to SA with the 3 - 2 lead!

Yeah, it really is. Not to take away from Detroit's great defense; but when a team turns the ball over 35 times in two games to the opponent's dozen or so and gets dominated for 7 consecutive quarters in the process, the focus is all that much on the mental toughness of their arguably best power forward in NBA history. Tim Duncan opens the court for Ginoboli and the others. If Duncan takes it to the Pistons, San Antonio wins--on any floor.

    Interesting series indeed.

    Yep, you got me quoted!

Can't believe no one bumped this thread after that incredible game last night, while Horry's three was the game winner, this left handed lang range dunk was IMO a play of the year.

I just have to say, what was sheed thinking? Yea, leave Horry open, he doesn't hit clutch shots!

    Go Spurs!

  16. #16
    Exactly, What was he thinking?

I mean they go over the worst case scenarios and that was it.
He doesn't guard the person inbounding, tries to chase Manu into the corner, Horry was just waiting, nobody on him.

Sheed could have cost us the game when trying to call the timeout with no timeouts left. Spurs would have shot the technical and won the game.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Sheed move towards Manu.
But we also had a similar opportunity, the last shot, Hamilton gets double teamed, Prince was on the baseline completely open, but Hamilton failed to pass it, decide to try to shoot the impossible.

The play was most likely for billups, but he couldn't get open.
All Detroit need was a few more points from Hamilton even Hunter.

Lets see how this series ends up. You would never believe Detroit would beat the Spurs by 31 in any arena.

If we take game 6, I think they both have an equal chance to take the title. Detroit has to feel the desperation, Billups and Ben have to have good games for us to win.

Spurs seem closer to the big victory in my opinion.
Manu is a headache for opponent defenders, I'd not like to support a team playing against him

    We were all b-b-b-breathless!

Horry came through late as he did with the Lakers often enough, but there was another turn that worked for the Spurs: Detroit didn't score in the last couple of minutes of OT when Tonyover Parker was relieved of Billips duty in favor of Bowen.

No matter who wins, there will be riots in both cities! And I'll be right in the middle of the SA one ;-). Look for me at Game 7. I sit on the second row, floor seats towards the right hand side (if your looking at the TV view).

It's been a great series for fans of basketball.

    Four blowout games.

    Two close matched games.

Game seven should end up being everything a game seven is supposed to be.

Since we don't have an NBA flag, I'll use the WHT flag.

Detroit, will have its own parade.
Like RWallace said, save the cristal for Thursday, when we will be the ones popping it

Like I said , we are here to make history.

Detroit played a great game 6. Game 7 we will have to do the same. Some more stepping up from the bench and we'll be fine.

    Great 3 game series.

Well I was travelling in a move, and I think my crystal ball got foggy somewhere in the swamps of Louisiana, and said it would be in 6, but it was still right saying Spurs

Yeah, it was a really good game last night. I wish Detroit had won but the Spurs definitely played hard and deserve it. Already looking forward to the next season
