What GFX card do you have?

So, as the title says, what gfx card do you have, and what do you think of it?

Im asking because Im building a new machine, and after being out of the hardware loop for a while, its kinda hard figuring out what I need.

Im looking at the Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB. As I do play games, but Im not a hardcore gamer, and from what I can see from benchmark tests, it can hold its own.

I have the ATI Radeon Pro 9800. Your assessment of the card's abilities is right. I'm a casual gamer and the card suits my needs for FPS, RTS, and MMORPG games just fine . I've heard the GForce 6800, which is available for about the same price, is also good.
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

    PCI-E Card

    ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon X600Pro

    Max Resolution [email protected]
    Memory Clock 600MHz
    Memory Size 256MB
    Memory Interface 128-bit
    Memory Type DDR

I run mine @ 1600x1200 on an HP 21 Inch flat screen crt, and it rocks in UT2003/UT2004 (Max Details set). Works great in Guild Wars as well. Haven't had time to play much else lately.

    Beautiful little card.

Are you ready for this tricked-out beast of a card?

    A GeForce 4 MX440 64 MB!

To say the least, it sucks in new, graphics-intensive games, but it works okay in Counter-Strike 1.6 ( not Source ).

Oh, you have that exact card? I forget its actual manufacturer (it's not NVIDIA itself), but it has dual VGA ports. I don't utilize both of them in Linux, anyhow, but it's nice having them (for some reason, X11 doesn't want to work with these two monitors; it's rather frustrating, but I can't be asked to spend another five days trying to get it to work).

    6600GT 128MB (OC'ed to 550/1100)...

    I'm going to "step-up" to a 6800GT 256MB card soon.

It runs UT2k4 great on well made maps.

AGP of course. Not sure if I want to go PCIx on my new system build... But thats a whole new topic.

    New machine:
    dual PCI-e XfX Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT's w/ 128mb w/ dual DVI outs

    Older machine:
Nvidia Quadra 4 NVS 400 PCI (quad head video card)

On the new machine, I use the cards normally in non-SLI mode because I want the four video outs to all work, but in the very unusual time I play a game, I enable SLI for maximum performance.

    New box specs:
    3dMark05: 7018
    3dMark03: 15536

I didn't do any overclocking to get those scores (except a little tweaking of the video card, but not much).

Right now I have a Radeon 9800 Pro.

When I build my new computer in late august, I'm going to get a 6800 GT or one of the next gen. cards (7800 something)

I also use an ATI 9800 Radeon Pro. Still works great so, I won't be updating for another year or so.

    Radeon 9800 pro 256mb dvi+tv + crt out

It's a great card and lies pretty close to the 6600gt.

    Would definetely recommend it.
I play Half Life 2 at 1600 * 1200 with almost no lag.

I have radeon 9800 pro, but you'd probably be better off with a geforce 6800 or even 6600GT. they are not much more expensive than the 9800 pro but are significantly better.

I used to have a good ol' TNT2 - great card

But now I have a 9600 Pro 128mb. I over clocked it a while ago, but it was running a bit hot when I played games so I put it back how it was :p

    Congrats on your new All-In-Wonder.

I have the Sapphire version of ATI's Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB. The video card is about two years old now, but it's still a decent card. I probably won't upgrade it till next year.
