    Bill_Iridion,

I would be very wary of picking a random company that quickly.
Do your research first - have you found any reviews of that company on these forums?

The domain should be transferrable.. and no, registerfly shouldn't cause any downtime if they're only handling your domain.

    Bill_Iridion,

Which domain name are you hosting with Registerfly?
Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Go with 1and1.com for failsafe domains. They are what I use. $6/year. Can't go wrong.

If you decide to transfer your domain out of registerfly, a good registrar is namecheap.com (IMO).

Regarding hosting, it's good to find at least a few reviews where you can verify that the reviewer does indeed have a site with the reveiws host. IMO completely anonymous reviews generally bear little weight, especially when little info/details are provided.

    Good luck in your search!

Your site still offline, i would sugest you Godaddy i used them for 2 years and they are really good. The only Con they have is that you must jump lots os pages before you get a domain registered....

For domain handling I recommend godaddy.com they have affordable prices and I have had no problems so far. That is odd if your domain registar is down, I haven't heard that before.
