    xhtml 1.1 strict nooblar dilemma

    I've been using the http://validator.w3c.org tool and it outputs something i dont understand. It says

    PHP Code:
    the name and VI delimiter can be omitted from an attribute specification only if SHORTTAG YES is specified
    It refers to this line in my xhtml:

    PHP Code:
    <input type="button" name="groups" value="groups" disabled/>
    What's it trying to say?

    XHTML doesn't allow you to use a "bare" attribute like "disabled", "checked" or "selected". See the XHTML spec for details.
    You cooin' with my bird?
